Free Xbox Live Download for all Xbox Live users

In an open Letter Marc Whitten, General Manager of Xbox LIVE, stated that

And as a thank you for your loyalty during this holiday period, we will be offering all of our Xbox LIVE members around the world access to a full Xbox LIVE Arcade game that will be available to download free of charge.

By Albion Knight, Been a game freak since my first system, the Atari 2600. I was major Nintendo fan until they came out with Wind Walker and the Game Cube. I still almost got it until I saw a commercial for Fable. The rest is history.

Fantastic! It’s good to hear that Microsoft does have a heart and is willing to compensate all Xbox Live Gold subscribers with a free Xbox Live Arcade game. I wonder if we’ll be able to choose from any Xbox Live Arcade game currently available or will have to pick from a pre-set selection of about five arcade games.

I, personally, wouldn’t mind downloading either Streets of Rage 2 or Sonic The Hedgehog. Those are currently the only Xbox Live Arcade games that interest me.

I just want them to fix the issues with Live, i want to play Call Of Duty 4 in a team without all the problems. Id be interested in getting Worms again though, loved that game back in the day. A couple more interest me but i just want Live fixed, and fast.

  This was rleeased really early in the nes lifetime in the us, so to me it feels more like an atari game with better graphix. But then again, Super Mario Bros. was rleeased in 1985, so no excuses to the devs.

I think what microsoft meant by this was the arcade game for the build up to fable 3 like with the pub games for fable 2

I WANT XBOX LIVE!!! i believe that microsoft is better than sony and xbox live is the best revolution of gaming and the online gaming of ps3 is not that good concidering the fact that ps3 has to download the game before playing when for the xbox you just have to stick the game in and its ready and no downloads are needed so i reaaly want xbox live…
