Molyneux Explains Why Fans Might Be “Pissed Off” By Fable III

Speaking with Lionhead’s Peter Molyneux at X10, we found out why certain plans for Fable III might “piss off” fans of the series.

It appears that Fable III will be incredibly streamlined, doing away with the player HUD, removing your health bar and replacing it with an FPS style visual indicator.

Additionally, levelling up won’t occur in the usual way with accumulation of XP. Instead, your progress and standing in Fable III’s world will be measured by the number of followers you attract to your kingdom.

If you can woo the mayor of a town as King for instance, you’ll draw followers from there, expanding your influence.

Weapons too will benefit from the new levelling system applying level up enhancements the more you use a certain weapon. Once it reaches a new level, it’ll change in appearance, presumably gaining bolstered attributes as a result.

Us? We’re not pissed off at all by any of this. How about you?

I Think you should be aboul to hire mercanaries again like the farther u get the more powerful they are and when they die you can just pick you money back up but next time you see him his piss at you

they should bring the choice of an armor or cholisin sytem back like say you a powerful knight you get aromr it ups your defensie but is you an archer you were chloies and it up you speed and acuracy

But uh i think fable 3 is going to be pump but peter there beter be a final boss that was one of the big thing that killed fable and the gamerscore thing i hope your refuring to fable 3 gamerscore and not overall or am going to suck fable 3 sound pretty cool so far half the game your geting people to follow you and become king the other half i like the idea of weopon morphing i mean blood driping from you weopon thats bada** i cant stand the fact that it so far away but keep up the good work peter

i think you'll be able to switch between FPS style and the Good ol' school camera view. Judging from seeing a video on youtube of some Fable 3 Game play, it looks pretty good. But i feel its going to be a shit stain =\ We'll see.
