Fable 3 Gets a Pre-Order Bonus (Villager Maker)

Since pre-order bonuses are all the rage nowadays, it’s only natural that Fable 3 hop on the bandwagon, right? Still, it’s better than a slap in the face, amirite? And I imagine it helps speed up the ditheres who haven’t gotten round to pre-ordering themselves a copy as of yet.

Here’s a quote from the press release:

The Fable III pre-order tool invites fans to design their own villager with over 2,000 possibilities; pre-order incentive includes bonus quest and gold fortune.

Great heroes of the past and present all know one thing is true: the revolution starts with you. That’s why Microsoft and Lionhead Studios are giving fans the chance to get into the action now before Fable III launches in the U.S. on Oct. 26 (This date varies depending on region). With the all-new character creator tool, called the Fable III Villager Maker, fans who pre-order the game can create and bring their personalized villager to life. Your custom in-game villager will deliver to your hero a thrilling new quest and 1,000 gold fortune, and then continue to interact with you on your journey to become ruler of Albion. I think it’s very important to stress the point that this is an exclusive quest and the only way to get it is by placing a pre-order!

Fans can utilize the tool to create a male or female villager with more than 2,000 different variations, including an enthralling backstory for the character, unique personality traits, clothing, accent, hairstyles and the region they hail from. Whether you create a valiant ally, an evil villain, or perhaps the perfect spouse, let your imagination run free as you make your mark in the fantastical world of Fable III.

The fun doesn’t stop there. With the Villager Maker, you’ll be able to save your character as a desktop wallpaper and share your creation with your friends on Facebook and Twitter to see who has the coolest design. Anyone can start designing, but transporting the villager into Fable III is a reward given only to fans who pre-order the game at participating retailers. A redeemable code will be provided that allows players to bring their character creation to life in Fable III when the game launches.

i just spent over 170 dollars preordering fable 3 and star wars thr force unleashed 2 both LCE. they better be worth it.

anyone from the north east of england can answer this question for me (because i think this is a local shop) does anyone know if Grainger Games will be giving out the pre order code as i have already pre ordered with them and just wondering if i should be asking them where my code is .

yes they do. u get a pre order code with the game LCE or not no matter where u pre order it from.

I haven’t gotten my redemption code yet, and knowing my store (Webhallen in Sweden) I might just never… but even so, I started playing around with the Villager Maker but it doesn’t quite work for me. I’ve tried several times, but when it comes to actually creating the NPC (after the whole backstory and personality stuff) the model won’t appear and I’m pretty sure it’s supposed to. :/

Annoying how you can only get the hammer pre-order bonus in UK. I really wanted the channeler or at least the inquisitor. You would think it would be available to the UK public since the company is British. It doesn’t seem right that the US always seem to get preference over the UK, even with UKs own companies?

hmm could be interesting, although i get bored of seeing the exact same villagers walking around everywhere i mean i know it wold take time to create all unique villagers but it would show how much they care about their game and wuld entertain me more seeing blondesand gingers etc rather than brown and black hair constantly with fixed features

i was told with the pre ordered copy but i was also told u might have pre order it from lionhead itself. i donno the whole deal with the code thing is confusing.
