Strike up a conversation with one of the guards and he will offer you 1,000 Gold to murder the assassin who killed his brother. The assassin can be found all the way back at Twinblade’s Elite Camp, right in the tent, you should be able to pick him out as he looks distinctly different to the bandits that surround him.

Speak to the assassin and he will reveal that he is in fact the guard’s brother and that his brother paid you money to kill him so that he could claim all the inheritance for himself. Draw your weapon in front of him and he will offer to pay you double to kill the guard. Refuse him and he will add an additional 500 gold coins to the offer.

It’s entirely up to you on whom you decide to kill; if you want to do the “good” deed then kill the bandit. However you can be extra cheeky by accepting his offer of 2,500 Gold, kill him anyway and return to his brother to claim the 1,000 Gold from him.

That is, 30th of May this year. Thats the closest date I have heard of so far and really isn’t too far off at all but is probably far too close to be realistic.

One of the more interesting features that has been introduced however is the inclusion of classic Xbox games to download straight to your Xbox 360′s hard drive for a small fee — usually within the 1,200 credits area. One of the games that is available for download happens to be the classic Xbox RPG from Lionhead Studios, Fable: The Lost Chapters — which we just so happen to cover and have several forums for your enjoyment.

Also, with the addition of downloadable classic Xbox games comes the chance to download some very attractive new themes or “skins” for your Xbox 360 dashboard. Upon navigating your new “What’s New” tab on Xbox Live you will discover a brand new Fable: The Lost Chapters theme which is available for free. Be sure to check it out; I’m using it right now as a replacement for my Halo 3 theme and I’m personally very taken with it. There are also a handful of free Fable: The Lost Chapters gamer pictures available for free as well.

It has been said that, in Fable 2, players can buy buildings, and even a castle on top of a mountain. That is great… but, If I bought a castle I would like everyone to know, I would like to see other players astonished by my migthy fortress, and I mean real players. Will Fable 2 have online capabilities, so players can interact with each other?

This not something I can talk about at the moment. Online, trading, co-op and showing off are my favorite features in games (and I love working on my favorite features!)

Read and Discuss

We’ll start off by revealing the three runners-up, who each will get 50MB additional storage space on TMO:

• The Road Less Traveled by rysto – Good narration and story plot, nice set dressing and examples of modified content. The closing scene could have lasted a little bit longer but overall a very good and touching movie! You can watch the movie here.
• Lionhead by Dr_House – Quite a long intro sequence but beautifully crafted nevertheless! An extraordinary amount of modding has gone into this movie it seems which makes it refreshing. You can watch the movie here.
• Trents Fable by biggstrek – Absolutely GREAT camera shots and the way it is edited makes the car chase extremely exciting! Go Rogina! You can watch the movie here.

And finally – the great winner, taking home an Xbox 360 video game and entertainment system, a signed copy of Fable 2 (when it is released) and 100MB additional storage space on TMO:

Fable modding consists of implementing your very own tweaks to the game and help mould it into something completely fresh and new. It seems like almost anything is possible when you look at some of the things our community is churning out at the moment. Here is a list I have compiled of what I believe to be some absolutely fascinating enhancements that have been kindly shared within our community that should help give you an idea of just what Fable: The Lost Chapters mods are capable of producing:

Since we first introduced our Fable Modding forum, I personally have been extremely impressed by the sheer number of fans who have returned to Fable and our forum. So if you own Fable: The Lost Chapters for PC (or even if you don’t – this is the perfect reason to go out there and buy it!) now could not be a better time to join the Fable modding revolution. Our Fable modding forum contains a wealth of information and all the tools and resources needed to aid you in getting started, not to mention you are always welcome to ask for help should you have have any trouble during your Fable modding adventures. In our section however, there are step-by-step instructions on how to create your own Legendary Weapon (although you can’t change its skin, unless you know how, but you can rename it and increase its damage.) There is also a guide on how to spawn your own bodyguards (who can take form of any creature or character in the game) and there is even a guide which tells you how to change your body configuration and make yourself look like Thunder, Whisper, or any rival Hero in the game! I don’t want to spoil too much though, go check it out for yourself!

Of course I have to give credit to the people who make these extensive and very in-depth guides. Sephiroxas, droded, and Albion Knight, go ahead and give yourself a pat on the back for your determination and hard work!

Bear in mind these are only for PC or Mac, so all you who play on Xbox are out of luck…

(this is the one I got when wearing my will users outfit, I don’t think he says it if your not. and he says it whether you wear light, dark or neutral.)

-Waves of monsters! Hordes of foes! The Arena was an awesome task.
But dust and blood and swords and blows, Gave way to Jack, behind his mask.

-A creature of great awe and might, Brought Knothole Glade unto it’s knees!
But the Balverine of purest white, Was pulverized with purest ease.

-Alas Alack! This man of song, Is rendered dumb, his task to hard!
My muse in Legend doth belong; You need to find a better Bard.

Update: October 1st (I found MORE!!! I only did the ‘Protect orchard farm’ quest then found him in the SECOND STORY OF THE BARBER SHOP in Bowerstone…it’s…kinda weird.)
Anyway, here they are:

-Greetings! Hail! Oh hero Bold! I am you see a famous bard,
I sing you songs, you give me gold, It really isn’t very hard.

-The rural folk of Orchard Farm, Implored you them to aid.
You kept the family safe from harm, Life is so cliched.

-Life’s great journey lies ahead; Quests! Adventures! Exploration!
Youth will stand him in good stead, While life provides him education.

-The lives of Bards are simple things, Not fraught with many dangers;
Their greatest test is generating, songs for total strangers.

-To the women folk of Albion, Nearest and remotest,
His eligibility has not gone unnoticed.

-The way of truth, of love, of good, Is beckoning this worth man,
A few more good deeds surely would, Ensure he’s Avo’s greatest fan.

October 2nd: (And I did find more, I’ve been going to see the bard after every quest that I do. He was in the second story of the barber shop in Bowerstone for quite a while. but he’s in the tavern now. [I had to delete my game, I broke fable with too many silver keys. ^^.])
