Driftwood flip switch issue

I started the flip switches for the gold key in driftwood, but it got to the one by the tree above the rocks on the second island and it turned into a melee one. I have tried the entire island to look for a place to get to it, tried swords and hammers, charged and uncharged, tried magic and ranged just in case, and tried the blades spell with no luck at all. what the heck?

I had the same problem. It looked like next to the chest there is a walkway that spirals up to the flip switch, except you can climb the damn thing and keep falling in the water.

Once you do the three quests(Carpenter,Gambler, and Hobbe)after a couple in game days you should get an achivment and acess to the flit switch.

Yes, i have the quests done. as i said, i hit the flip switch 4 or 5 times, first was melee, then ranged, then spell, then so on until it gets to the first or second spot on the second island. it goes up by a little out-cropping up the cliff a little and is surrounded by rocks. it turned melee there, but no weapon can hit it. i can't even get close.

Well wait till you get the achivement, a couple in game days. Then going back to the flit switch should find two planks forming a ramp up to the switch.

What is the Name of the achievement?

I did the quest yesterday and the achievement came through randomly today when I was off doing a different quest. Was spun out. So yeah

basicly that's it.. i had the same prob.. did all the quest and still nothing. the i saw "island paradise achievement" and i remember reading this here.. so i runned there and there was something like a bridge/platform and i was able to hit it
