Brightwall Village Demon Door
This ancient doorway is feeling rather broody.
To open this door, you need a kiddy of your very own because you can only hold hands with your own children (which is just as well – can’t go around nicking off with other people’s kids now, can you?). If you haven’t got your own bundle of joy yet then you need to get a hold of the Lover and Family expression packs from The Road To Rule first. Pick out a potential lucky man/lady but they need to be of the opposite sex in order to get a child out of it. Do what they need to get the marriage requirements out of the way, pick a house and when it’s time to baby dance, head to the bedroom and choose “unprotected sex” from the options given. You will then have a baby and once he or she is a toddler, grab them by the hand and take them to the Demon Door. If it all sounds like too much effort, just adopt a child from the Bowerstone Orphanage provided you have completed the “Bowerstone Resistance” quest. For your efforts, there are 25 Guild Seals and 3 Summon Creatures Potions inside the Demon Door’s “Last Orders” area.
City Of Aurora Demon Door
This sentient doorway wonders how committed people can be to their moral convictions.
Note: Rubble blocks this Demon Door and you can only access it after the Revolution. To find it, it will be just to the left of the main gate and you’ll have no trouble finding it when you go to the Shifting Sands. If you want to get in, you need to max out your morality in either direction – either be completely good or be completely evil; this will take the ENTIRE game to manage because there are so many moral choices to make throughout. To really help shift the morality meter in the desired direction, you have two options at the end of the game where you can either give to the Treasury or steal the lot. In the “Moral View”, there will be a different scene depending on which choice you made but the reward will remain a Legendary Weapon either way.
Millfields Demon Door
This stone portal questions the value of traditionally held notions of aesthetics.
You’ve got to be one ugly so and so to get this door to open for you – not to mention as fat as a pig on Sunday. You’ll need an outfit such as your pyjamas or the night clothes you wore at the very beginning of the game and then you need to head to the Sanctuary to not only wear the hideous outfit but also to dye each part of it in different colours. Then you’ll need to take a look at your Hero Status to see how your weight is – the meter must be all the way to the right in order to be deemed fat enough to appease this Demon Door. Vendors in Bowerstone will sell you nice fatty food like pies and meat and the pub will happily supply you with beer to help you on your way. Keep going, checking your weight as you scoff and quaff, until the meter is fully to the right and then waddle off to the Demon Door. Once inside, you will find a chest with 40 Guild seals in “Twitcher’s Curtains”. You might want to go on a diet now, though…
Mistpeak Valley Demon Door
Note: To get into this door, you must have a cooperative second player with you through an online game. In Mistpeak Valley, you need to go uphill from the lake towards the snowy area that has bridges crossing the valley. If you follow the path under the first bridge that leads into the valley, you’ll find it ends at the Demon Door. Don’t forget to have your coop partner with you because this Demon Door wants to see you two hug, kiss and maybe even propose so you will BOTH need to have acquired the Lover Expression pack from the Road To Rule. Hold the required expressions until your controller vibrates (so turn on vibration if you haven’t already!); if this doesn’t happen, then you need to do the honourable thing and propose. Get married and the door will open to you, revealing the “Demon Door Retirement Home” which has lots of Demon Doors with things to talk about and a chest with a Legendary weapon inside it. Bad news for the cooperative player though – only the Host will get this item.
Mourningwood Demon Door
This ancient and war-weary edifice is quite interested in weaponry.
To get into this door, it’s necessary to max out either your melee or your ranged weapon skills (purchase Level 5 on the Road To Rule) AND you need to get all three upgrades for any Legendary weapon. For just 100 Guild seals, you can get Level 5 fairly easily but the upgrades for the Legendary weapon is a little more tricky. Don’t forget that your Hero weapons are NOT considered Legendary and to find out what upgrades are available for your Legendary weapon, simply examine it in the Sanctuary and press Y. Once your skills are maxed and your weapon is fully upgraded, just pull it out in front of the Demon Door and inside you’ll find “Planet One” where there is the Military Costume and a Summon Creatures Potion.
Sunset House Demon Door
An ancient and sentient door near Sunset House wants to meet a monarch.
Easy as anything – all you have to do is return as King or Queen of Albion to get in; this will happen as you progress through the game as part of the main quest and you can just walk inside to the “Pools of Sorrow” area and nab yourself a nice 1 million gold treasure windfall simply for being so gosh darned regal.
